Job summary

Resource Options, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Field Technician to assist with hazardous material handling, water sampling, spill cleanup, and general field activities.

This is a hands-on role with physical labor, outdoors work, and exposure to heavy equipment, with on-the-job training provided. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, good communication, and a readiness to learn safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior environmental or hazmat experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and follow established safety procedures.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred, but training will be provided.
  • Ability to perform physical labor and lift/move materials as required.
  • Comfortable working with and around heavy equipment, including forklifts.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with collecting water samples and following established sampling procedures.
  • Assist with spill cleanup and environmental field activities.
  • Move, categorize, manifest, and label materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Interact professionally with customers while supporting field service activities.
  • Follow all EH&S rules, regulations, and company safety procedures.
  • Assist with documentation related to hazardous materials and DOT requirements.
  • Learn to safely operate tools, equipment, and machinery used in the trade.
  • Work alongside experienced technicians and receive hands-on training in environmental field operations.

As an Entry-Level Environmental Field Technician, you will work alongside experienced environmental professionals assisting with hazardous material handling, water sampling, spill cleanup, and general field activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in the environmental industry. Responsibilities will involve physical labor, material handling, operating tools and equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment and have a strong willingness to learn. Prior environmental or hazmat experience is preferred but not required. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training will be provided.

Position Responsibilities

Pay Range: $20.00/hr. - $22.00/hr.
