Stratus Team LLC is seeking an early-career Technician/Scientist/Engineer/Geologist to join a team dedicated to learning, professional growth, and creativity in environmental consulting. The role emphasizes field tasks across NYC redevelopment sites and related regulatory work.

Responsibilities include independent field execution, sampling, documentation, and supporting office duties. The position offers a structured path for professional development within a collaborative, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in environmental consulting or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand long periods, and tolerate inclement weather
• Solid knowledge of environmental health and safety standards and NYC Metro regs
• Excellent attention to detail, technical writing and communication skills
• OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Execute field projects independently from mobilization to sampling
• Support field tasks including equipment ordering, site coordination, sampling, and lab delivery
• Assemble field reports, review analytical data, and prepare tables
• Document field findings and develop conclusions/recommendations for client
• Stay informed on federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Communicate clearly with site staff, subcontractors, regulators, and team
• Grow and learn within the company
