Job summary

Republic Services' Environmental Technician role focuses on the safe operation and maintenance of landfill gas extraction and leachate systems at our landfills. You will monitor these systems daily, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and support reporting.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of OSHA-regulated site experience, strong time management and communication skills, and a commitment to safety and integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience at an OSHA-regulated site.
• Strong time management to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Clear communication of operating issues to management.
• Ability to adhere to company safety standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains landfill gas extraction systems and leachate collection systems.
• Monitors gas levels and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoots systems and reports issues to management.
• Performs landfill surveying and submits required reporting data.
• Adheres to safety regulations and performs duties safely.
