Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Environmental Technician to oversee the safe operation and maintenance of landfill gas extraction and leachate collection systems at our landfills. The role requires monitoring, data reporting, and strict adherence to federal and state safety regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities include sampling, gas level measurements, troubleshooting, and ensuring continuous, compliant operation of related systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience at an OSHA-regulated site.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain landfill gas extraction systems and leachate collection systems safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor gas levels and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Troubleshoot and report complex issues to management for timely resolution.
• Manage leachate systems to maintain safe, compliant operation.
• Perform landfill surveying as required and prepare reporting data.
