Job summary

SET Environmental Inc. is seeking an ER/Field Technician to help maintain crew safety and support a range of environmental projects.

You will participate in scheduled and emergency tasks, assist with loading equipment, and perform physical labor in diverse weather and field conditions. The role requires a high school diploma (preferred), OSHA HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain it, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain.
• Flexible to schedule changes; available for on-call.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform physical labor under crew leads.
• Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed.
• Ability to speak/read/write English sufficiently.
• Industry/construction experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record per SET insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate on crews for scheduled and emergency projects.
• Assist in loading equipment and supplies for project needs.
• Perform moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Work in varied weather conditions.
• Support environmental projects such as CSE, remediation, waterway response, and hazardous materials cleanup.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary.

Overview

An ER/Field Technician at SET Environmental is responsible to:

• Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to SET safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards
• Take an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects
• Assist in loading equipment and supplies for project needs
• Exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50 lbs
• Work in a variety of weather conditions
• Support a variety of environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to:
  • Confined Space Entry (CSE)
  • Environmental remediation
  • Waterway response
  • Hazardous materials cleanup
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain
• Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for on-call
