Job summary

SET Environmental Inc is seeking a Field Technician to support health and safety on crews and site operations, including loading equipment, weather-ready fieldwork, and on-call responses. Responsibilities include hazard identification, communicating risks, and assisting with environmental projects.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, be over 21, and hold or be willing to obtain OSHA HAZWOPER certification; basic computer skills and a valid driver's license are preferred for travel to

Qualifications

• Must be over 21 years old.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain.
• Flexible schedule with on-call availability.
• Ability to perform physical labor.
• Must be able to read/write English.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health and safety of crew, customer, and site by adhering to SET safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards.
• Take an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency response-based projects.
• Assist in loading equipment and supplies for project needs.
• Exert moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Support of various environmental projects ranging from, but not limited to: Confined Space Entry - CSE, Environmental remediation, Waterway response, Hazardous materials clean up.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Must be over 21 years old
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER or ability to obtain
• Must be flexible to changes in work schedule and be available for On-call
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform physical labor under direction of crew leads
• Ability to respond to out-of-town projects as needed
• Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently
• Industry/Construction experience preferred but not required
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements
