Job summary

PATRIOT Environmental Services is seeking a hands-on Laborer in Las Vegas to support emergency response, cleanup and remediation operations. You will work long hours, perform physically demanding tasks, and follow safety protocols to protect yourself and teammates.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain 40-hour HAZWOPER certification; previous environmental services experience is preferred and a flexible, safety-driven mindset is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some environmental services industry experience preferred.
• Some hazardous waste control experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
• Confined Space Entry certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner.
• Perform emergency response cleanup activities including chemical and water spills, non-hazardous and hazardous waste and toxic materials and equipment decontamination.
• Sweep, dig, shovel, lift, pressure wash and handling drums to assist in cleanup.
• Operate cleanup equipment used in hazardous waste activities.
• Follow policies and procedures for control and storage of hazardous substances.
• Attend safety training as required.
• Comply with the Random Drug Testing Program.
• Perform various housekeeping and custodial duties and other duties as required.
• Assist with maintenance of facility like unloading trucks and other ancillary duties.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on uncontrolled standby.
• Work long hours and overtime during day, night or weekend shifts.
