Job summary

Patriot Environmental Services is seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our field operations in the Western United States. You will perform emergency response cleanup, hazardous waste handling, and routine environmental remediation tasks with a focus on safety and quality.

You will work long hours, including day, night or weekend shifts, and must hold a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, a valid driver's license, and be able to work in confined spaces and extreme conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some environmental services industry experience preferred.
• Some hazardous waste control experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Driving record that meets company standards and current DMV printout, required.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
• Confined Space Entry certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety remains the top priority.
• Perform emergency response cleanup activities for chemical and water spills.
• Sweep, dig, shovel, lift, and handle drums during cleanup.
• Operate cleanup equipment used in hazardous waste activities.
• Follow policies for control and storage of hazardous substances.
• Attend safety training as required.
• Answer 24/7 Emergency Response calls when on standby.
• Work long hours and overtime day, night or weekend shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.
