Job summary

Clean Harbors in Davenport, IA is seeking an Environmental General Laborer to join our safety conscious team. This role performs tasks related to hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. Expect up to 40% overnight travel and a Monday–Friday schedule with early starts.

Training is provided and expenses are covered. The position requires a valid driver's license, physical capability for strenuous work, and readiness for emergency

Qualifications

• Reliability and willingness to perform strenuous physical tasks.
• On-call availability and readiness for emergency response.
• Compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in varying conditions and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Follow health and safety policies as the top priority.
• Engage in heavy physical labor including lifting and moving items.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and handheld tools.
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety guidance.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions and varying temperatures.
• Assist in field sampling and meter calibration.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding when required.
• Be available for emergency response on rotating schedule.
