Job summary

S&ME is seeking an Environmental Staff Professional to support Phase I/II ESAs, investigations, and remediation efforts in Chattanooga, Tennessee. You will collect samples, coordinate field activities, and analyze data to ensure regulatory compliance while contributing to diverse environmental projects.

Ideal candidates have a Geology degree, familiarity with ArcGIS/AutoCAD, and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field is required.
• 0–5 years of geo-environmental experience; consulting/regulatory exposure a plus.
• Professional registration (e.g., PG) in Tennessee or willingness to obtain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Field Investigations for Phase I/II ESAs and brownfield projects.
• Collect soil, groundwater, and other environmental samples and maintain chain-of-custody.
• Review and interpret field and lab data to support regulatory compliance.
• Prepare clear technical reports and project documentation for clients.
