Job summary

The City of Fort Worth seeks an Environmental Field Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations for illegal dumping and dead animal collection, coordinating intake, planning, scheduling and data reporting. You will work with internal City departments and external partners on events, budgets and fleet management to improve city-wide environmental programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with specialized training in environmental compliance, litter control, solid waste or recycling, sustainability, environmental stewardship or waste diversion.
• Four years of experience in environmental compliance/field operations, solid waste and recycling, vehicles or related heavy equipment operations, or operating motorized heavy equipment, including one year of supervisory experience.
• Possession of a CDL Class A or B license.

Responsibilities

• Ensures daily performance goals are completed by internal staff and contractors.
• Supervises staff, prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; enforcing policies; maintaining a safe working environment; managing hiring, termination, and disciplinary decisions.
