Job summary

The role requires hands-on leadership in the field, knowledge of hazardous materials handling, spill response, and site safety, plus the ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising environmental field projects in environmental services or construction.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous material handling, spill response, and regulatory compliance.
• Valid driver’s license and safety certifications (OSHA, HAZWOPER) preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and lift moderate to heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate field activities in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Maintain knowledge of spill response, site control, decontamination, and waste handling procedures.
• Verify training, PPE, safety documentation, and site controls prior to starting work.
• Lead safety briefings and address unsafe conditions or incidents promptly.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, transporters, disposal facilities, and public agencies.
• Monitor conditions and halt or modify work when safety concerns arise.

Environmental Field Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Field Supervisor to oversee and coordinate environmental projects on-site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead environmental operations, promote safety, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve project goals efficiently and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute all work activities in strict accordance with company policies, site-specific requirements, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain current knowledge of hazardous material spill response, site control procedures, decontamination processes, waste handling, and emergency response protocols.
• Verify that all necessary training, personal protective equipment, safety documentation, and site controls are in place prior to commencing work.
• Conduct or assign job safety briefings, ensuring all team members are informed of safety procedures and addressing any unsafe conditions, behaviors, near misses, or incidents promptly.
• Coordinate professionally with clients, contractors, transporters, disposal facilities, and regulatory or public agencies to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Monitor work conditions continuously and halt or modify activities when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identified to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in environmental field supervision or related roles within environmental services or construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous material handling, spill response, site safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to identify unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective actions.
• Valid driver’s license and relevant safety certifications (e.g., "OSHA, HAZWOPER") are preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift moderate to heavy loads as required.
