Job summary

Clean Harbors in Roseville, MN is seeking an Environmental Center Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste in accordance with regulations and company policies at customer sites and facilities.

This is a customer-facing position, working at customer sites daily, with accelerated training and strong opportunities for advancement within Clean Harbors’ network.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required; CDL B with hazmat within 6 months.
• Ability to perform physical functions and pass background/drug tests.
• Prefer college degree in Chemistry or Natural Science.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests, and disposal notifications.
• Inspect storage areas and drums for leaks, spills and labeling compliance.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal and support on-site customer projects.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT and local regulations.
• Support HHW collections and lab moves at customer sites.
