Republic Services is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist I to work both indoors and outdoors at various customer sites, ensuring safety standards and proper waste packaging per regulations. The role involves assisting with hazardous, non-hazardous and universal waste removal and maintaining updated documentation.

The position requires a chemistry- or environmental science-related degree, regulatory knowledge (DOT/RCRA preferred), and willingness to travel to customer locations.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of chemistry principles.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and MVR.
• Ability to pass respirator fit test.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Responsabilités

• Collect, characterize & package customer waste for final disposal.
• Assist in safely transporting customer waste per Federal regulations.
• Prepare packing lists, waste labels and shipping documents.
• Support on-site activities at customer locations including inspections and waste shipments.
• Collaborate with the team to identify contents via field screening procedures.
