Job summary

Clean Harbors in Denver, CO is seeking a Class B Route Driver Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste in accordance with Federal/State/Local regulations and our company policies. This position will work both indoors and outdoors at plants, labs and customer sites, assisting with lab packs and HHW collections.

As a customer-facing role, you will visit client sites daily as part of Clean Harbors Technical Services.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL and hazmat/tanker endorsement within 6 months.
• Must pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Must be clean shaven to wear a full-face respirator.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to perform physical labor and build relationships at customer sites.
• Willingness to travel 10–30% overnight.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority and follow safe work practices.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests and disposal notifications.
• Inspect staging, storage areas and drums for leaks, spills and labeling compliance.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and compliance.
• Execute jobs at customer locations, including Fortune 500 companies.
• Ensure projects comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
• Operate vehicles safely in line with DOT and regulatory rules.
