Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Technical Leader to drive the technical vision across design and non-design projects within the Global Delivery Excellence Framework. You’ll work with the Project Manager to coordinate technical content, mentor junior staff, and ensure on-time, compliant solutions.

You will lead water and wastewater facility designs, review drafts for regulatory compliance, and engage with clients and sales teams to translate needs into strong proposals and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel 20–40%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the technical vision of the project; coordinate content with the PM.
• Create water and wastewater facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and related designs to meet client needs.
• Review designs for regulatory compliance at federal, state and local levels.
• Collaborate with sales to prepare proposals in response to RFPs.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff; may supervise junior engineers.
• Attend conferences to raise the firm's visibility and meet client needs.
