Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Manager/Technical Leader to drive complex water infrastructure projects from planning through construction. You will shape technical strategy, mentor engineers, and foster strong client relationships across municipal, industrial, and public-sector clients.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk while delivering innovative water solutions and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex water infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
• Provide technical leadership and develop engineering solutions for water, wastewater, water reuse, and conveyance systems.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for assigned projects, reviewing, approving, and sealing engineering designs, reports, plans and specifications.
• Oversee preparation and review of calculations, reports, studies, design packages, permitting documents, and construction-phase services.
• Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical professionals.
• Collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated water solutions.
• Support business development and client relationships through proposals and presentations.
