Fishbeck is seeking a Summer 2027 Environmental Engineering/Geology Intern to join its GeoSciences and Remediation team in Michigan. Based in Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo, this full-time internship offers hands-on field and office experience, including sampling, data analysis, and report development.

You’ll work with engineers and geologists, gain site exposure, and participate in field visits across Michigan. Hybrid schedules and tuition support are included.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for environmental work.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Past field or lab experience is a plus.

Environmental Engineering/Geology Intern - Summer 2027

Location: Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo, Michigan

Employment Type: Full-Time Internship

As part of our GeoSciences and Remediation team, you will gain hands-on field and office experience. Your work setting will include in the field, collecting environmental-related samples and overseeing drilling, and in the office, assisting with environmental data analysis and report development.

What You’ll Do

• Collect groundwater, surface water, soil, and vapor samples in diverse field settings throughout Michigan.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently enrolled in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related program.
• Curious, analytical mindset with a passion for environmental work.
• Comfortable working independently and asking thoughtful questions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Previous field or lab experience is a plus.
