Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is offering a Summer 2027 Environmental Engineering Intern role in Fort Dodge, IA. This 12-week, paid internship provides hands-on experience with the EHS team, focusing on environmental compliance, data analysis, and regulatory programs across major acts like CAA, CWA, and RCRA.

The role develops skills in permit reviews, reporting, and environmental assessments, with exposure to environmental sampling, audits, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Eligible for full-time employment on or before Summer 2028.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental compliance programs and regulatory initiatives by assisting with permit reviews, reporting, documentation, and environmental assessments.
• Analyze environmental data and develop tools to improve reporting, compliance tracking, and decision-making.
• Perform engineering calculations and support regulatory reviews related to air emissions, wastewater, waste management, and other environmental programs.
• Participate in environmental sampling, inspections, audits, and monitoring activities to verify compliance and performance.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement projects to reduce risk and enhance environmental systems.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and EHS teams on projects balancing field experience with engineering analysis.
