Langan is seeking an Intern - Environmental to join its collaborative team in Chicago, IL. This role supports environmental-related technical aspects of diverse land development projects, with opportunities to engage in field work, technical report preparation, and calculations under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of GIS or environmentally related software, and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel may be required based on business needs.

Responsabilités

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations, logging borings, collecting samples, and data recording.
• Monitor construction projects by performing tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Identify solutions to field/lab problems and document results.
• Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
• Prepare logs and field forms (drilling logs, daily reports, chain of custody).
• Learn data management and modeling tools for environmental media and engineering analyses.
• Conduct site reviews and reconnaissance and prepare reports.
• Prepare laboratory data summaries and figures.
• Use reports, maps, and plans to assess soil, hydrology, topography, and geology impacts on design.
• Performs other duties as requested.
