Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op - Environmental for the Syracuse, NY area to support environmental-related aspects of land development projects. You will assist with field studies, data collection, report preparation, and coordination with environmental leadership, gaining exposure to feasibility studies, design plans, and site investigations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and recording data.
• Monitor construction projects by performing tests to verify contractor compliance with specifications.
• Identify solutions to field and/or laboratory problems and document results.
• Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
• Learn data management and modeling tools for environmental media and how to use field equipment.
• Conduct site reconnaissance, file reviews, and prepare reports.
• Prepare laboratory data summary tables and figures.
