Job summary

ERM is seeking a motivated Consulting Associate, Engineer to join our New Orleans team. This early-career role supports site investigation, remediation, and hazardous waste management projects across the Gulf Business Unit, with opportunities for travel across the United States.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collect and analyze environmental data, prepare regulatory reports, and contribute to safe, compliant project delivery while developing consulting and technical skills toward

Qualifications

• BS in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science or environmental engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Recent graduate to 1 year of experience, including willingness/interest in field assignments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% regionally with multiple overnight stays; approx. 25% office-based work. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work including soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water sampling, aerifer testing and drilling oversight.
• Coordinate and direct drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.
• Provide construction oversight on environmental remediation projects and O&M of remediation systems.
• Compile and evaluate soil, groundwater, air, sediment and other environmental data.
• Assist in preparation of regulatory reports for submittal to agencies.
• Review groundwater chemistry data and prepare figures/exhibits for reporting.
