Job summary

ERM in New York City's Manhattan office is seeking a Consultant, Environmental Engineer, Geologist or Scientist to lead environmental projects and deliver practical solutions for clients across the U.S. You will apply your field knowledge to remediation, investigations, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with ERM's global network of experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting or related field.
• Working knowledge of field geology and hydrogeology fundamentals.
• Strong commitment to safety and Health & Safety protocols.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel and work independently or with a team.
• Driver's license required and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations: soil, water, air, and dust sampling; remediation pilot tests and monitoring.
• Log soil and rock cores; prepare boring logs and geologic drawings.
• Oversee drilling, well installation, development, and abandonment; manage permits and subcontractors.
• Coordinate field activities with geophysics, surveying, and lab services.
• Analyze environmental data and assist in technical report preparation.
• Support development of compliance plans and reports for air quality, waste, stormwater and wastewater.
• Perform Phase I & II site assessments for property transactions and ensure regulatory compliance.
