Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Engineering or Science Intern/Co‑Op for Spring and Summer 2027 in our Atlanta, GA or Kennesaw, GA offices. The 13–15 week program lets you apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects while learning business skills for consulting success.

You’ll assist with engineering calculations, write technical reports, input data, prepare maps and figures, and may engage in fieldwork. A valid U.S. driver's license is required for site travel.

Qualifications

• Experience with ArcView, CADD, and/or Microsoft Office.
• Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record for business travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering calculations using computer-based technical tools.
• Technical writing of reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
• Data input and analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.
• Follow instructions and interact with engineers, geologists, office admin staff, CADD operators, contractors and construction personnel.
• Potential for fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, stormwater inspections, and drilling and contractor oversight.
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
