Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a full‑time Environmental Engineer/Project Manager based in Chicago, IL. The role involves managing remediation projects from planning to closure with a strong focus on multi-disciplinary teamwork.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience, a civil/environmental engineering degree, and PE licensure or the ability to obtain one within a year. Occasional travel and a hybrid work model are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within one year is required.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in environmental site investigations and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Manage, perform, or support remedial design for environmental remediation projects.
• Develop pre-design investigations and treatability studies.
• Develop QA/QC programs for remediation projects.
• Create conceptual site models and feasibility studies with cost estimates.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
