Job summary

Tetra Tech in Chicago, IL is seeking a full-time Environmental Engineer/Project Manager to lead remediation projects from planning through closure. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, conduct feasibility studies and remedial design, and support client relationships.

Ideal candidates have a civil or environmental engineering degree and a PE license or ability to obtain within a year, 2–5 years of experience, and strong technical writing and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• Experience with environmental site investigations and remediation (CERCLA, IL Site Remediation Program, or GLLA).
• Strong analytical, organizational, client management, and communication skills.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Team-oriented and able to work with multidisciplinary groups.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Driving regularly; valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage, perform, or support remedial design for environmental remediation projects.
• Develop, manage and conduct pre-design investigations and treatability studies.
• Develop, manage and conduct QA/QC programs for remedial action projects.
• Create conceptual site models, remediation options assessments, and cost estimates.
• Lead multidisciplinary technical teams to ensure project success.
• Manage client relationships and pursue repeat/new business.
