Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager III for our Chicago, IL office to lead remediation-focused projects within a hybrid work model. The role emphasizes regulatory engagement, site investigations, and client communication, with responsibility for delivering on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering, geology, or environmental science and 4+ years of relevant experience, plus a valid driver’s license and background check clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• The successful candidate will have to pass a background check.
• A valid driver's license is required, with MVR check per policy.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of projects and establishing project objectives and policies.
• Understand site investigation and remediation techniques to drive client solutions.
• Interact with existing and potential clients to discuss AECOM services and expand offerings.
• Ensure project portfolio is built to design, budget, and schedule.
• Provide technical oversight and quality control.
• Define project scope and objectives and manage all phases from start to close.
• Predict resource needs and manage resources effectively; communicate progress to stakeholders.
