Job summary

W&T Offshore, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance across onshore facilities and offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico region.

You will work with engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to ensure air, water, and waste requirements are met at OTF and Mobile Bay. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering and 2–4 years of related oil and gas regulatory experience, with strong communication and data management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience with oil and gas environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of EPA and ADEM regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and data management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as local environmental expert for OTF and Mobile Bay assets.
• Be the focal point for agency correspondence for environmental permits and plans.
• Manage compliance for Clean Air and Clean Water acts, RCRA, CERCLA and EPCRA for OTF and Mobile Bay.
• Ensure all required environmental reports are completed and submitted to corporate personnel.
• Lead site-level environmental audits and provide support to operations.
