Job summary

Ahlstrom is seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer Intern to join our Wisconsin operations in Kaukauna for the summer of 2027. This hands-on role focuses on environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, wastewater treatment operations, air emissions management, and performance improvement within a complex manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental or chemical engineering or related field.
Rising sophomore to graduate student planning to return to school following the internship.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with environmental compliance activities related to air, water, waste, and wastewater permits.
Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for regulatory and internal environmental requirements.
Assist with monitoring and tracking environmental performance metrics.
Participate in sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support environmental audits and inspections.
Assist with wastewater treatment system performance evaluations.
Collect and analyze operational and environmental data to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations for environmental projects.
Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and EHS teams on environmental initiatives.
Participate in safety and environmental training programs.
