Job summary

Roux is seeking an entry-level Field Technician to support environmental investigation and remediation projects in the New York area. The role involves assisting the project team and Project Manager with field activities and technical support.

Responsibilities include participating in soil, groundwater, vapor and indoor air sampling, calibration of equipment, and helping prepare data tables, logs, and figures for technical reports. Excellent safety mindset and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• 0–2 years of field experience preferred.
• Ability to perform sampling techniques safely and oversee subcontractors.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and enthusiasm.
• Entry-level data evaluation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in calibration and operation of sampling/monitoring equipment, soil and groundwater sampling and related field activities.
• Supports project team with data tables, soil boring logs, figures, and technical report components.
