Job summary

Roux Consulting seeks an Environmental Field Technician to support project teams on environmental investigation and remediation projects. The role involves field sampling, data collection, and assisting with technical reports.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a technical field and have up to 2 years of experience. Office work is limited; travel to outdoor sites is required, with a base salary in the listed range and potential performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• 0–2 years of experience typically required.
• Ability to safely perform routine field sampling and oversee subcontractors.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the work.
• Entry level data evaluation and analytical skills.
• Field activities include calibration of sampling equipment, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation monitoring.
• Assist project team in preparation and review of data tables, logs, figures and components of technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist field staff in calibration of sampling and monitoring equipment, soil sampling, well installation, groundwater sampling, vapor/indoor air sampling and remediation monitoring.
• Assist project team in preparation and review of data tables, soil boring logs, figures and other components of technical reports.
