Job summary

Micron Boise is seeking an Environmental Engineer to develop and maintain environmental compliance programs across federal, state, and local regulations. You will partner with operations, facilities, and regulators to protect people and the environment while supporting AI-enabled process improvements.

Qualified candidates have a relevant Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of regulatory experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex permits and requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• 2–5 years of experience supporting environmental regulations.
• Understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret regulations, permits, and technical requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wastewater sampling, monitoring, inspections, and data collection.
• Review data, evaluate compliance, identify trends, and investigate permit exceedances.
• Prepare permit reports, compliance certifications, technical evaluations, and regulatory communications.
• Lead or support investigations involving permit exceedances, spills, and corrective actions.
• Support permit renewals, modifications, inspections, and audits with regulators.
