Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Principal Environmental Engineer Lead to direct air permitting, chemical management, and regulatory programs across manufacturing and development. You will lead the Environmental Engineering teams, coordinate with Facilities, Operations, and Legal, and drive compliance with environmental laws while advancing sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or closely related field.
5+ years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
Proven experience in environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, inspections, audits, and EMS.
Strong understanding of CAA, RCRA, CERCLA, CWA (NPDES, MSGP, CGP, SPCC) and ISO 14001.
Strong analytical, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead Air Permitting and Chemical Management Environmental Engineering teams.
Design and maintain environmental compliance programs meeting regulatory requirements.
Evaluate facility changes for regulatory applicability and develop compliance strategies.
Prepare and submit permit applications, regulatory reports, and assessments.
Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Process Engineering, Environmental, and Legal teams to ensure compliance and drive improvements.
