Job summary

GCC seeks an Environmental Engineer to develop and implement compliance programs across a cement plant and area terminals. You will identify environmental impacts, drive reduction strategies, and represent GCC in public forums.

The role includes managing projects, conducting inspections, preparing permit applications, and coordinating with plant leadership to demonstrate regulatory compliance. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering preferred.
• 2-7 years environmental experience with air and water regulations (NSPS, PSD/NSR, NESHAP, Title V).
• Familiarity with local state environmental regulations is a plus.
• Direct experience with cement, lime, or similar industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements programs to ensure environmental compliance with applicable requirements.
• Identifies environmental impacts and develops strategies to reduce them across operations.
• Develops community environmental awareness programs and represents GCC in public forums.
• Manages environmental project and compliance activities at cement plant and area terminals.
• Completes site inspections/audits and follows up on corrective actions.
• Gathers information for preparation of environmental permit applications.
