Par Pacific is seeking an Environmental Engineer in Kapolei, Hawaii, to support long-term environmental goals and regulatory projects related to air compliance. You will balance independent project management with teamwork, spearheading recommendations for regulatory work and managing programs like CEMS and LDAR.

The role reports to the Environmental Manager and involves training refinery personnel, and interfacing with USEPA and HDOH to maintain a safe, compliant workplace aligned with our RICH

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of environmental compliance experience, preferably in refining or industrial manufacturing.
• Air (AIR) compliance experience required for at least two years.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines under pressure.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office and EPA/state electronic reporting programs.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports required by permits.
• Maintain and drive continuous improvement of compliance plans.
• Coordinate sampling and testing, review invoices, and ensure recordkeeping.
• Minimize environmental risk and costs at the refinery.
• Be on-call for unplanned events and service emergencies.
• Liaise with federal, state and local agencies (e.g., USEPA, HDOH).
• Provide guidance and training to refinery personnel; support incident investigations and safety programs.
