Job summary
NORPAC in Longview, WA is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join the Health and Safety Team. The role will implement, coordinate, maintain, monitor and improve environmental programs across the mill, with emphasis on air quality, wastewater, stormwater, chemical management, and waste handling.
The position requires a BS in Engineering or Environmental sciences and 2+ years of manufacturing environmental compliance experience, plus knowledge of federal/state/local regulations and tools like
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Environmental sciences.
- 2+ years of environmental compliance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with federal, state and local environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory guidance to mill operations and management on compliance matters.
- Drive continuous environmental improvements and develop system enhancements.
- Ensure completion of required air, wastewater, stormwater, and waste-related reports.
- Act as liaison with environmental regulatory agencies and auditors.
- Support audits and help close identified compliance gaps.
