Job summary

Par Pacific seeks an Environmental Engineer in Kapolei, Hawaii to support long-term environmental goals within a growth-focused energy company. The role balances independent project work with teamwork to ensure air compliance and to lead regulatory projects with local and federal agencies.

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will guide refinery personnel, manage programs such as CEMS and LDAR, and contribute to a safe, environmentally sound workplace while supporting the company’s

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of environmental compliance experience within petroleum refining or industrial manufacturing.
• Background in AIR compliance for at least two years is required.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• TWIC card eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports required by permit(s).
• Maintain compliance plans and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate sampling, testing, review invoices and assure recordkeeping.
• Minimize environmental risk and costs to the refinery.
• Be on-call to respond to startups, shutdowns or malfunctions.
• Maintain relationships with USEPA, HDOH and other agencies.
• Provide field support and training to refinery personnel.
