Environmental Engineer

Reports to: Global Environmental Manager

Responsibilities

1. Assess, manage, and implement improvements to environmental regulatory, registration, and compliance programs across all Victaulic facilities.
2. Conduct and support internal audits to evaluate compliance with local and state environmental permits and licensing requirements.
3. Develop and execute corrective action plans based on audit findings, including creating procedures, work instructions, and conducting follow-up audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
4. Create comprehensive training plans to maintain and enhance compliance activities.
5. Lead periodic training sessions to ensure understanding and proper implementation of environmental practices.

1. Coordinate with Engineering, Product Development, and Innovation teams to manage the New Chemical Evaluation process and provide environmental assessments.
2. Support environmental aspects of new processes and chemicals from development through pilot and full-scale production.

• Manage and update the environmental task tracking system.
• Prepare regulatory reports such as Tier II, Form R, Air Emission Statements, and Discharge Monitoring Reports as required.
• Provide environmental support to all entities and senior management, including real estate environmental assessments, permit acquisition, emergency response planning, and compliance guidance.
• Assist the Global Environmental Manager with regulatory and remediation issues domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and plans.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in the environmental field, preferably in manufacturing.
• Willingness to work in various environments, including field, manufacturing, and office settings, with domestic and international travel as needed.
