Job summary

Akima Global Logistics seeks an Environmental/Energy Manager to oversee compliance with EMS and the Installation Energy Plan for NSA Annapolis facilities, including USNA. You will lead environmental strategies, audits, and training programs, coordinating with agencies and DoD requirements to ensure safe, sustainable operations.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, a bachelor’s in a related field, and at least two years of BOS-contract experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check Investigation (NACI).
• Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years' experience with environmental procedures on BOS services contracts (or equivalent) of similar size, scope, and complexity—Contract value of $10 million or greater per year.

Responsibilities

• Oversee environmental compliance and energy management for facility maintenance, utilities management, waste, pest control, and pavement clearance under a DoD contract.
• Ensure EMS and Installation Energy Plan alignment and adherence to sustainability requirements.
• Develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and programs to promote sustainable development.
• Conduct audits/assessments to identify improvements and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and energy policy.
• Lead energy and water reduction initiatives, renewable energy integration, and environmental stewardship.
• Provide guidance on state/federal environmental regulations and DoD sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with multifunctional teams to support operations while maintaining compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare and submit environmental deliverables per Section F and governmental reports.
