Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation is seeking an Experienced Environmental Consultant in Due Diligence in the Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI area. The role supports an international client base with a mix of office-based work and local site visits.

The candidate will perform environmental site assessments, due diligence reviews, and regulatory compliance work, with 1–3 years of relevant experience and a MS/BS in a related field. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental consulting (Phase I ESA, environmental compliance reviews, desktop due diligence).
• Knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance topics and related rules (CAA, CWA, RCRA, SPCC, NPDES, EPCRA).
• Understanding of Phase I ESA requirements and due diligence process; M&A experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Complete environmental site assessments of industrial and commercial sites.
• Perform limited environmental compliance reviews of industrial sites; review and abstract regulatory requirements for multi‑media compliance.
• Review site investigation reports and develop conclusions, recommendations, and scopes of work for further investigations.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Geology, Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Geologic Engineering), Environmental Science or Environmentally‑Related Field

Master of Science in Environmental, Chemical or other related Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology
