Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Data Management Discipline Leader to guide nationwide programs across ESG. You will shape data governance, ensure QA/QC, and drive analytics integration using EQuIS, Power BI, and related tools.

This leadership role focuses on scalable workflows, training, and cross‑functional collaboration to elevate environmental data management across projects. Travel up to 20–40% may be required; domestic and international travel considerations apply to project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience with EQuIS or comparable environmental data management platforms.
• Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and manage project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for environmental data management across ESG programs, including strategy, standards, workflows, training, and technical support.
• Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, standard operating procedures, templates, checklists, and guidance documents for environmental data management.
• Serve as a senior technical leader for EQuIS-based data management, including database strategy, consolidation, reference value standardization, and data loading.
• Lead the development and improvement of defensible data validation and QA/QC workflows and project-specific validation strategies.
• Support project startup to ensure data management requirements are built into scopes, budgets, schedules, SAPs, QAPPs, and reporting workflows.
• Coordinate with analytics, GIS, and other teams to connect validated data to dashboards, Power BI tools, GIS platforms, and automated reporting workflows.
• Advance electronic field data collection tools and automated workflows to reduce manual transcription and improve real-time data availability.
• Oversee development of discipline intellectual property, training materials, and knowledge management resources.
