Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an experienced Environmental Data Management Discipline Leader to advance our environmental data practices across ESG programs. You will set governance standards, lead EQuIS‑driven workflows, and guide data validation, analytics, and dashboards.

This national role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and collaboration with GIS, digital engineering, and project teams. You will mentor staff, shape training programs, and ensure defensible data delivery for complex programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years related experience; domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Experience with environmental data management platforms, reporting, and analytics is preferred.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross‑functional collaboration abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide national leadership for environmental data management across ESG programs, including strategy, standards, workflows, training, and technical support.
• Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks, SOPs, templates, checklists, and guidance documents.
• Lead EQuIS platform leadership, including database strategy, data validation workflows, and integration with reporting tools.
• Oversee defensible data validation and QA/QC workflows for various environmental programs.
• Support project startup to ensure data management requirements are integrated into scopes, budgets, schedules, and reporting workflows.
• Coordinate with analytics, GIS, and digital teams to connect validated data to dashboards and Power BI tools.
• Advance field data acquisition and automated workflows with tools like Survey123 and Esri Field Maps.
• Manage intellectual property, training materials, and standard workflows for data management.
