Job summary

ERM in New Jersey is seeking a Consulting Associate, Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join an early-career team. You’ll collect environmental data, support investigations, and assist with remediation and compliance across diverse projects, with opportunities for nationwide and occasional global travel.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related environmental field, up to 1+ year of experience, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or related discipline with minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Recent graduate to 1+ year of experience and willingness to perform field work.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to travel across client sites.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field work including sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, and other media.
• Assist with Phase I/II assessments and data compilation.
• Support investigations, remediation, and compliance efforts on projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, regulators, and clients during field activities.
