Job summary

GHD is seeking a Construction Superintendent for Environmental Remediation to oversee environmental, heavy civil, and related projects across the United States. You will lead on-site crews, ensure safety compliance, manage schedule and budget, and align work with project scope.

The role requires guiding multiple crafts and subcontractors, planning work sequences, and mentoring staff while coordinating with project management. Remote site rotations are expected; travel nationwide is involved.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of supervisor-level experience on environmental remediation, heavy civil, demolition, mining or dredging projects.
• Ability to review schedules and direct field activities.
• Strong communication with diverse crafts, subcontractors and clients.
• Ability to assess changes, address notices/claims, and coordinate with project management.
• Understanding of contracts, specs and drawings; proficient with cost control.

Responsibilities

• Enforce site Health & Safety Plans with site H&S reps.
• Review hazards, participate in Job Hazard Analysis and incident reporting.
• Perform pre-task planning and coordinate field activities.
• Lead crafts and subcontractors to meet schedule, quality and safety requirements.
• Monitor timecards and reflect hours/tasks correctly; manage schedule impacts.
• Assist in planning work, workforce levels, materials, and subcontractor scheduling.
• Assist with hiring and training of craft personnel; mentor team.
• Utilize cost control systems to improve job performance and report out.
