General Responsibilities:

Terracon’s Construction Services include environmental remediation, fuel service station closure, and renewable energy construction (testing, installation, and maintenance). These projects are executed by Terracon-employed equipment operators and support staff. Laborers work as part of a team supporting Equipment Operators, Foremen, and Superintendents to deliver these services. Responsibilities include performing site reconnaissance, verifying utility clearance requirements, and operating various heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, dozers, skid steers, graders, loaders, scrapers, compactors, and earth-hauling equipment on client sites.

Job Description

As a Laborer, your tasks will include:

• Loading tooling and materials
• Acting as a spotter for Operators
• Performing basic surveying and site reconnaissance
• Driving medium-duty trucks and trailers
• Inspecting and maintaining equipment

Assist senior Laborers and Equipment Operators to execute project scope, follow safety standards, participate in pre-task planning, report safety issues, maintain quality standards, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of soil composition testing and trench safety
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history

Preferred Certifications:

• 40-Hour HAZWOPER certificate, TWIC, and DOT medical card are preferred for remediation projects.
