The position focuses on maintaining ISO 14001, managing Stormwater and Wastewater programs, and delivering training to embed a strong environmental and safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or related field with 1 year of environmental program experience (Tier II, TRI, NESHAP, etc.).
• Or a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in the listed environmental programs (Tier II, TRI, NESHAP, etc.).
• Relocation not offered; must reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY.
• Export control: U.S. person status may be required per regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations including: RCRA, SWPPP, AIR, WASTEWATER, GHS, etc.
• Develop and manage compliance trainings and site-wide communications.
• Support management of change processes for new processes, equipment, chemicals, and facilities.
• Liaise with external regulatory agencies during environmental audits and follow-ups.
• Conduct incident investigations related to spills and chemical exposures; implement corrective actions.
• Perform internal audits and risk assessments to ensure timely, accurate compliance reports.
• Develop environmental/sustainability objectives, targets, and metrics.
• Promote a zero-incident EHS culture and engage employees through Safety Committees and GEMBA walks.
• Oversee ISO 14001 EMS and continuous improvement of environmental programs (Stormwater, Wastewater, Chemical Management).
• Ensure timely submission of monthly wastewater, Tier 2, emission inventories, TRI reports.
