Job summary

EnerSys, a global leader in stored energy solutions, seeks an Environmental Assistant to support the Environmental Specialist. You will monitor air and wastewater compliance, coordinate plant environmental activities, and assist in policy creation and audits.

You will work in a plant/warehouse environment, performing tasks related to air monitoring, SPCC, and ISO 14001 compliance, with emphasis on documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or similar field; 3 years of related work experience.
• Fluent verbal and written English; strong interpersonal communication.
• High basic math skills and proficiency with a 10-key calculator.
• Reasoning ability to identify cause-effect relationships and anticipate operational changes.
• Strong intermediate Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative environmental support to the Environmental Specialist.
• Monitor environmental systems and record responses for reports.
• Coordinate repairs with engineering and maintenance staff.
• Advise on pollution control and treatment systems.
• Assist in permit-related air and wastewater compliance activities.
• Support baghouse inspections and documentation.
• Prepare compliance reports and assist with SPCC plan inspections.
