Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an Environmental Safety leader to direct the development, planning and implementation of safety programs across clinical and non-clinical operations. The role includes coordinating sustainability initiatives and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will audit performance, train staff, and develop metrics to demonstrate program effectiveness, with travel to facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety/Environmental field or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a safety domain.
• Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, DOT regulations and compliance.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Direct development and implementation of environmental safety programs.
• Coordinate sustainability efforts including pollution control and waste management.
• Audit, analyze and report environmental safety performance to leadership and regulators.
• Identify risks and reduce potential costs across the organization.
• Provide training on environmental safety to staff at all levels.
• Develop metrics to measure program effectiveness.
• Consult with facilities on Environmental Safety matters.
