Job summary

Pattern Energy Group LP seeks a Manager, Environmental Compliance & Strategy, EPC, to lead environmental permit compliance for wind, transmission, and solar energy projects in the U.S. and Canada.

You will coordinate with EPC teams, consultants, regulators, and local groups to ensure adherence to permit and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong project management, regulatory interpretation, and communication skills, with travel up to ~25% and a focus on delivering compliant project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-oriented field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Seven or more years of experience in environmental, natural resources, or energy-related projects, preferably in renewable energy.
• Experience with wind, transmission, and/or solar power permitting, environmental construction compliance, and fieldwork.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and provincial environmental regulations related to stormwater, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, air quality, wildlife, archaeology, and due diligence.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional project teams and managing environmental consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental permit compliance activities for EPC projects with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate environmental personnel, consultants, regulators, and local stakeholders as needed.
• Conduct environmental compliance reviews, site audits, and root-cause investigations.
• Develop and implement environmental compliance programs and project execution documents.
• Create and maintain project environmental compliance matrices and deliver training on environmental awareness.
