Job summary

Ashland in Calvert City, KY is seeking a Senior Environmental Assistant to support environmental compliance programs and regulatory reporting. This individual contributor role focuses on documentation, data management, and program coordination to ensure safe, compliant plant operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in environmental compliance within an industrial setting, with expertise in RCRA, SPCC, DMR reporting, and SAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting environmental compliance programs in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Experience with RCRA hazardous waste management and manifest administration.
• Experience supporting Clean Water Act compliance, including NPDES/KPDES and DMR reporting.
• Experience administering SPCC, Tier II, chemical inventory, or related programs.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and electronic document management systems.
• Experience maintaining regulatory records, compliance databases, and environmental reporting documentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrative resource supporting site environmental compliance programs and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain records and coordinate activities for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, including manifests.
• Administer environmental data and compliance tracking systems, including SAP and other tools.
• Compile and maintain wastewater compliance data and support DMR submissions.
• Maintain environmental compliance plans such as SPCC, Groundwater Protection Plans, and Stormwater BMP documentation.
• Administer chemical inventory systems and support Tier II and other regulatory reporting requirements.
